ATL Signal Wallpaper: July 18, 2011 It's been a while since I designed anything for shits & giggles so I thought it about time I add a new wallpaper to the ATL series! I'm pretty pumped with how it turned out so everyone, feel free to pick it up for your computer/iPhone/iPad. You can grab this newest one over in the downloads section in whichever size you need.
I recently printed & framed this series of posters that I designed for a few friends over at 90MPDesign in honor of the opening of their new studio space out in Duluth. I really like all 3 pieces together and am happy with the printing that I had done over at Mindzai here in Atlanta. I've already had some interest shown in purchasing one or all of these prints. So, keep watching the Swag Store in case I decide to run off a few more sets!
I'm pleased to announce the brand new K as in Kris Swag Store. There are currently 4 t-shirts available in numerous colors & styles (The red & white is just the default, so don't mind that). You get the choice to have them printed on MySoti brand shirts or American Apparel.
PEACE UP, A-TOWN DOWN: June 19, 2010 So I just announced the release of the most recent personal project I just did. I originally created it to submit for the CITID contest. They are asking to try to get submissions from every city... worldwide! I noticed that there was only one submission for Atlanta and I didn't think it represented us well enough, nor was it good enough. I took it in my own hands to rep the ATL! So far, word has been good on it so I've decided to take it in to print on stickers and t-shirts. My goal is to be able to go out one weekend soon and possibly see one of my stickers out and about. Maybe, possibly run in to someone wearing my shirt at a bar.. how cool would that be right? I will announce soon when I figure everything out and get it all in motion. For all of you in Atlanta reading this, I hope you approve and love it. Peace up, A-Town Down! PS... I gotta give props to up & coming designer Rachel Hathaway, for the idea to incorporate the Atlanta skyline in the rust for this composition.
ROADSIDE ATTRACTIONS LOGO: May 23rd, 2010 I was asked to create a logo for a company called Roadside Attractions. They are a car & antiques museum that hosts different car shows, auctions & other events. This is the first project I've gotten where I was asked to go retro, and it turns out it's a fun style to design. Below are 3 of the concepts that were shown. Concept 3 is what the final logo is based from. I've also been told that the final logo has been sent in to production as an old Neon sign so I will post those pictures for everyone once I get them.
VALERIE LENNON LOGO: Feb 4th, 2010 I haven't posted anything since October so I thought it was time. I had a very challenging logo request this week, so I figured I'd share. I was approached by Southern Web Group to create a vector version of an old logo for artist, Valerie Lennon. The issue at hand was that it seemed there was only one copy of the original logo available which you can see at the bottom of the image below. This image was a .jpg at 123 pixels by 31 pixels. Not very useful in the least. So to create a vector logo that looked like a painted signature had me stumped. After many attempts, trials & errors (illustrator crashes), I ended with what you see below. I am super happy with the end result. Let me know what you think!
PUMPKIN CARVING: Oct 27th, 2009 This has been a rather fun year as I was lucky enough to receive the 3 keyboard cat shirt for my Birthday which made me decide it was completely necessary for me to carve the keyboard cat in to my pumpkin. Hope you guys like it.
GUEST DESIGNER: July 27th, 2009 For the first time at K as in Kris, I've had my first Guest Appearance stop in to design the weekly header. Pauline Pellicer is the fantastic designer who stepped up with this image and I'm a BIG fan of the turtle. She's supposed to be leaving for the beach later this week so I have a feeling that's all she's thinking about right now. You can check out more of her work here and if you happen to need any wedding invitations stop in here.
BUSINESS CARDS: June 1st, 2009 Now that I have a newly designed website, I thought it was about time I had some business cards to go along with it. I'm happy how they turned out and can't wait to hand one to you the next time I meet you!
LAYER TENNIS: April 24th, 2009 I recently participated in a Layer Tennis match against Arlo Bryan Guthrie. It was a great experience and lots of fun competing with him. Arlo won the coin toss and began the bout by leading in to the story. These are screenshots of our volleys as we duked it out. You can see the match in actual size here.
